Who is a Community Champion?
Community Champions are individuals who make a positive difference in the lives of others and help make Sugar Land a stronger, more connected community.
They may be a longtime volunteer, a neighbor who is always there when someone needs a helping hand, or simply someone who sees a need and takes action.
The following are examples of qualities and actions that may make someone a Community Champion. This list is meant to inspire ideas, not limit nominations:
- Builds community by fostering pride, connection, and civic responsibility
- Creates connections by bringing neighbors and community members together
- Leads by example and inspires others to get involved and make a difference
The Community Champion will be announced at the Sugar Land Community Expo on Saturday, February 20, 2027!
For more information about requirements for consideration, exclusions, and limitations, visit www.sugarlandtx.gov/communitychampion
Nominations close December 18th, 2026.
