20mph speed limits in Tilehouse Road and East Shalford Lane, Shalford

Statutory Notice: Traffic Regulation Order (TRO)

This is the formal legal stage of the process and involves publishing a Traffic Regulation Order (TRO) Notice, during which objections or representations may be made.

Proposal

There have been concerns raised by residents and Local Members that vehicles are speeding along Tilehouse Road and East Shalford Lane. It is therefore proposed to reduce in the speed limit from 30mph to 20mph on Tilehouse Road from its junction with Pilgrims Way to its junction with Shalford Lane, and on East Shalford Lane from its junction with A281 The Street to its junction with Tilehouse Road, together with a reduction from the national speed limit to 20mph on East Shalford Lane from its junction with Tilehouse Road to the railway crossing, complies with Surrey County Council’s speed limit policy and is supported by local members.
