Statutory Notice: Traffic Regulation Order (TRO)

This is the formal legal stage of the process and involves publishing a Traffic Regulation Order (TRO) Notice, during which objections or representations may be made.

Proposal

This scheme aims to create a safer crossing point along Weybourne Road. The benefits include:

•Improved Road Safety: Physical measure to reduce vehicle speeds, lowering the risk and severity of collisions

• Encourages Active Travel: Safer conditions promote more walking and cycling to adjacent schools and local amenities, reducing congestion and emissions

• Enhanced Driver Awareness: Traffic calming highlights the presence of a crossing point encouraging more cautious driving

• Environmental Benefits: Lower speeds can contribute to reduced noise and improved air quality.

The above proposal will be advertised in the local press (The Surrey Advertiser). County and Borough Councillors, Stakeholders and the Police will be consulted.

This survey opens on 20th August 2026 and closes on 10th September 2026
