D5419 Catteshall Road and D5419 Catteshall Lane, Godalming - Proposed No Waiting At Any Time

Statutory Notice: Traffic Regulation Order (TRO)

This is the formal legal stage of the process and involves publishing a Traffic Regulation Order (TRO) Notice, during which objections or representations may be made.

Proposal

Double yellow lines are proposed in three locations to maintain carriageway width for two vehicles, including buses, to pass each other. Catteshall Road and Catteshall Lane is a bus route and these proposed parking restrictions are to mitigate delays to buses caused by parked vehicles. Double yellow lines are also proposed on lengths of the northern side of Catteshall Lane to formalise parking on one side of Catteshall Lane only. These proposals are in association with various proposed local highway improvements (to be advertised in a separate Notices).

The works form part of the Phase 1 delivery of the Guildford to Godalming Greenway, a scheme to deliver safer and more attractive walking, wheeling and cycling (active travel) infrastructure between Guildford, Godalming and the communities/areas in between. The scheme aims to encourage more active travel, unlocking the associated health and environmental benefits. Phase 1 of the scheme has received funding from Active Travel England for construction following an application process and review of the scheme.

The plans along Catteshall Road and Catteshall Lane have been developed taking into consideration the feedback received from local stakeholders when engagement was undertaken in 2025.
