High Street, Cranleigh - Proposed No Loading Restriction

As part of road safety improvement proposals for Cranleigh High Street that aim to enhance road safety and improve the public realm, making Cranleigh High Street a more attractive and accessible space for residents and visitors, it is proposed to introduce a No Loading Zone from No.92 High Street to No.46 High Street, Cranleigh (Approx 67.6m) operating from Monday to Saturday from 8am to 9.30am and 4.30pm to 6pm. The proposal is intended to reduce delays caused by loading and unloading activities during peak traffic periods, when traffic volumes are at their highest.
The restriction will help maintain the free flow of traffic along the High Street by preventing vehicles from stopping to load or unload during the morning and evening rush hours. This will reduce congestion, improve journey time reliability, and enhance road safety by minimising conflicts between stationary vehicles, moving traffic, cyclists, and pedestrians.

This survey closes on the 6th November 2026
