Trees are an essential part of Surrey's landscape, providing environmental, social, and aesthetic benefits to our communities. Sometimes, however, it becomes necessary to consider the removal of trees to address concerns their impacts to private property where they're causing damage, other safety concerns, or facilitate improvements to public spaces.

In such instances, Surrey County Council is committed to ensuring decisions are informed by both expert assessments and the voices of our residents. We are currently seeking public input to guide the decision-making process for specific proposals involving tree removal across the county.
