Proposal

The proposed speed limit reduction from 30mph to 20mph is intended to improve road safety, particularly for children and other vulnerable road users, and to support lower vehicle speeds in this residential area, which includes three schools.

Public engagement on the proposal has already taken place and, following consideration of the feedback received, the scheme is being progressed to the statutory consultation stage. A report summarising the engagement findings can be viewed on the engagement webpage:

The documents below provide further detail, including the Traffic Regulation Order (TRO) Notice, a plan showing the affected roads, and the Statement of Reasons explaining why the Order is being promoted. All representations received during the statutory consultation period will be considered before a final decision is made in consultation with the county councillor.
