
Proposed 20mph Speed Limit in Various Roads in Old Dean, Camberley
Proposal
As part of Surrey County Council’s Vision Zero Road Safety Strategy, which aims to reduce the number of people killed or seriously injured on our roads by 50% by 2035, we are adopting a more flexible approach to implementing 20mph speed limits. This approach prioritises urban areas, residential streets, and locations near schools, and is subject to consultation with local communities.
The proposed reduction from 30mph to 20mph in this residential area, which includes four schools, is designed to improve road safety and reduce vehicle speeds.
