Consultations on the Removal of Highway Street Trees

Street trees are an essential part of Surrey's landscape, providing environmental, social, and aesthetic benefits to our communities. Sometimes, however, it becomes necessary to consider the removal of a street tree to address concerns an impact to private property where they're causing damage, other safety concerns, or facilitate improvements to public spaces.

In such instances, Surrey County Council is committed to ensuring decisions are informed by both expert assessments and the voices of our residents. We are currently seeking public input to guide the decision-making process for specific proposals involving tree removal across the county.

Your perspectives are invaluable to help us achieve a balanced and sustainable approach—one that takes into account community needs, ecological priorities, and long-term impacts. This is your chance to help shape the future of Surrey’s treasured green spaces.
