Statutory Notice: Traffic Regulation Order (TRO)

This is the formal legal stage of the process and involves publishing a Traffic Regulation Order (TRO) Notice, during which objections or representations may be made.

Proposal

As part of Surrey County Council's programme of speed management improvements, it is proposed to reduce the speed limit from 30mph to 20mph on Little Green Lane and surrounding residential roads in Chertsey. The proposal is intended to improve road safety, particularly for children and other vulnerable road users, and to encourage lower vehicle speeds in the vicinity of Meadowcroft Community Primary School and the surrounding residential area.

Public engagement on the proposal has already taken place. Following consideration of the feedback received, Surrey County Council has decided to progress the scheme to the Traffic Regulation Order (TRO) consultation stage. Traffic Regulation Order (TRO) Consultation
This is the formal legal stage of the process. During the consultation period, any person may submit a representation supporting or objecting to the proposal. All representations received before the consultation closes will be considered before a final decision is made in consultation with the county councillor.
