Proposed 20mph Speed Limit on St Mary’s Road and surrounding roads, Oatlands Park
Proposal
As part of Surrey County Council's programme of speed management improvements, it is proposed to reduce the speed limit from 30mph to 20mph on St Mary’s Road and surrounding roads, Oatlands Park. The proposal is intended to improve road safety, particularly for children and other vulnerable road users, and to encourage lower vehicle speeds in the vicinity of Oatlands School and the surrounding residential area.
Public engagement on the proposal has already taken place. Following consideration of the feedback received, Surrey County Council has decided to progress the scheme to the Traffic Regulation Order (TRO) consultation stage. A summary of the engagement findings can be viewed in the Engagement Report below.
