About the scheme
Councillor Matt Furniss contacted Surrey County Council highlighting concerns around high speeds on The Street.
We’re looking into potential speed reduction measures along The Street, and we also aim to make the village centre a nicer space for residents by highlighting the heritage and history of Compton.
We’re aware of some constraints on what we can implement in Compton, but we are eager to collaborate with residents, hear your ideas, and find a practical solution to reduce speeds along The Street.
