A320 North of Woking Improvements

Holloway Hill / Green Lane junction

We plan to :

Construct a new at-grade junction (meaning all the roads are on the same level with no underpasses or overpasses).

Improve junction approaches and through-traffic exits on Guildford Road by widening the carriageway to provide additional traffic lanes and help minimise queuing, delays and future congestion.

Improve vehicular entry and exit at Green Lane and Holloway Hill junctions.

Provide a 4m wide shared use footway/cycleway.

Provide safe crossing facilities for pedestrians and cyclists around the junction.

Provide flood attenuation ponds and swales in order to help reduce and better manage potential future flood risk.

Improve public transport facilities.

Improve road lighting throughout.

Wherever possible we will retain veteran trees and we expect to retain the majority. We will also be planting additional new trees of varying size and species.
