Wray Lane Progress.

The public engagement exercise on the proposals to lower the speed limits in Wray Lane closed on the 18 March 2026. 

After considering the results we have decided to continue with the scheme. Detailed design and other work on the scheme is now being carried out, and the traffic regulation order (TRO), which is the legal document required to install traffic calming measures and to change the speed limit will be advertised in the coming months.

The works to install the new 20mph speed limit, 30 mph speed limit and new speed signs are programmed to be carried out by the end of the financial year.”
