About the Scheme

Surrey County Council is proposing to introduce a 20mph scheme on Bushy Hill Drive and surrounding residential roads, Guildford.

Speed surveys show that traffic calming is not required. However, where speeds are highest, 'light-touch' features such as Vehicle Activated Signs (VAS) or painted roundels may be included.  

The aim of the scheme is to create a safer environment for everyone, particularly children travelling to and from school.
