Gravelly Hill May update

The public engagement exercise on the proposals to install 30mph speed limit and traffic calming in Gravelly Hill closed earlier this year. The results were summarised and discussed with the County Councillor for the area

 After considering the results the County Councillor has decided to continue with the scheme. We will now continue with the design work and legal process to reduce the speed limit. The legal process will include the advertisement of the speed limit reduction on Surrey County Council's website with further opportunities to support or object to the proposal. Subject to the outcome of the formal advertisement we hope to implement the speed limit reduction.

The works to install the 30mph speed limit are programmed to be carried out by the end of the 2026/27 financial year.
