NEW PROPOSED GO LIVE DATE - MONDAY 11TH MAY 2026

We wanted to let you know that we have unfortunately had to change the Go Live date for the School Street scheme to Monday 11th May 2026.  We're very sorry for any inconvenience this may cause and want to explain the reasons for this delay.

There are two-key factors behind this decision:

• A manufacturing delay affecting the delivery and installation of the essential equipment and signage required for the scheme to operate legally.
• The Surrey County Council Election and Pre-Election Period (27 March - 7th May) during which Local Authorities are advised not to launch new schemes or carry out engagement with local communities, to avoid any risk of influencing the election.

Further updates on 'What Happens Next' for you as either a resident or parent will be shared here soon.  In the meantime, if you have any questions please contact us at:  schoolstreets@surreycc.gov.uk

Thank you for your understanding and continuing patience.
