Upper Hale 20mph works
Works to support the new 20mph speed limit are due to start on Upper Hale Road on Monday 7 October.
The works are to construct four raised road tables, improve pedestrian crossings, and install new road signs and road markings between the junctions with Sandy Hill Road and Wood Road.
Construction will last approximately five weeks and will take place at night. That means Upper Hale Road will be open during the day but will be closed Monday to Friday from 8pm to 6am. Between 28 October and 1 November the road is not due to be closed, but temporary traffic lights will be in place.
Please keep the road clear and park elsewhere during the works – otherwise vehicles may be towed to a nearby road.
We're grateful for residents' patience and apologise for any inconvenience.
Information boards on site will have details of date changes due to any bad weather or other factors. Alternatively, visit the One Network roadworks map, search for Upper Hale Road and sign up for updates.
Please visit the temporary changes to bus services for road closures page on the Surrey County Council website for details of changes to the Stagecoach service number five between Farnham and Aldershot after 8pm.
