The public engagement exercise on the proposals to install 20mph speed limit and traffic calming in Rothes Road, Dorking (and surrounding roads) closed on the 20 March 2026.

After considering the results we have decided to continue with the scheme. Detailed design and other work on the scheme is now being carried out, and the traffic regulation order (TRO), which is the legal document required to install traffic calming measures and to change the speed limit will be advertised in the coming months.

The works to construct the traffic calming measures and install the 20mph speed limit are programmed to be carried out by the end of the financial year.
