Proposal to establish a SEN unit at St Paul's CofE Primary School Tongham
About the proposal
In agreement with the Headteacher and governing body of St Paul's CofE Primary & Nursery School, Tongham, Surrey County Council is proposing to establish a unit for children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
It is proposed that there will be 25 places for pupils with autism from Year R to Year 6 at St Paul's CofE Primary School & Nursery. Commencing with the intake of a bulge class in September 2025, the proposed unit will continue to expand in line with the school, from September 2026 to September 2028. All pupils on roll in the unit will have an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP).
The Related Documents below contain the detailed proposal.
Surrey County Council and St Paul’s CofE Primary School & Nursery would like to know what people in the area feel about the proposal. We will hold an online public meeting for parents and any other interested parties to discuss the proposals and to hear your views. The online event will be held on Wednesday 17th September at 6pm via Microsoft Teams. Please join to share your views and ask questions. You do not have to have a child at the school to join the meeting.
