Notice of Intention to Commence

Pursuant to Regulation 44 of The Town and Country Planning (Local Planning) (England) Regulations 2026, Surrey County Council has given notice of its intention to commence preparation of the Minerals and Waste Local Plan for Surrey. The purpose of this notice is to tell stakeholders in good time that plan-making is due to begin, and provide information about when and how they can get involved with the preparation of the Minerals and Waste Local Plan. Surrey County Council had to give notice of its intention to commence preparation of the Minerals and Waste Local Plan at least 4-months before formally beginning the plan-making process on 19 March 2027.
