Victoria Avenue and surrounding roads update

 Following a thorough review of the responses received, it was decided to proceed with the proposals.

While the public engagement helped guide our initial decision-making, there is a statutory requirement to formally advertise the introduction of traffic calming measures.    Any objections and comments received during the formal advertisement must then be considered in accordance with the county council's constitution before a final decision is reached on whether to proceed with introducing the measures. 

The statutory consultation has now been completed and, having considered the objections and representations received, it has been decided to move forward with installing the proposed junction improvements. 

The detailed design of the proposals has been completed, and we currently expect construction to take place during July 2026.
