Frenches Road update

Thank you for your response to our public engagement exercise regarding our proposals to reduce the speed limit on Frenches Road to 20 MPH. We greatly appreciate your involvement and the feedback provided.

Following the results of our public engagement exercise, which showed a significant level of support for the proposed speed limit reduction, Surrey Highways undertook a statutory public consultation, which has now concluded. The County Councillor has taken all objections into consideration and has decided to set them aside in order to continue with the scheme. We will now continue with the legal process to reduce the speed limit. The legal process will be the finalising of the traffic order to bring the 20mph speed limit into effect, alongside the construction of the proposed traffic calming measures.
