GO LIVE UPDATE - MONDAY 24th NOVEMBER 2025 Exemption Application Drop In

We can confirm that Potters Gate School Street will be going LIVE on Monday 24th November 2025.  A reminder of the restricted times: 

8am -9am and 3pm-4pm Monday - Friday (Term time only)

Exemption Applications:

We are aware that some residents are still experiencing issues with submitting their School Street Exemption applications. We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience and want to reassure you that there is still plenty of time for us to support you in completing your application. 

If you are either experiencing issues with the application process or do not have access to the internet, we will be holding a drop in session at Potters Gate School on MONDAY 17th NOVEMBER between 6pm - 8pm where we will provide assistance with your application.  We politely ask that you only come to this session if you need help with your exemption application, not to ask any other questions regarding the School Street. If you have any questions regarding the School Street, please email me donna.selby@surreycc.gov.uk

Please note when you come to the drop in session you will need to bring your V5C Vehicle Logbook or Lease Agreement or Vehicle Insurance Certificate and a proof of residency document which can be in the form of any of the following documents:

• Please ensure you bring  your V5C vehicle logbook or Lease Agreement or Vehicle Insurance Certificate  and a proof of residency document.  Proof of residency can take the form of any of the following documents:

• Council tax statement dated within the last 12-month period
• Rental agreement dated within the last 12-month period 
• A utility bill ( for example gas/electricity/water) dated within 2 months and showing the residents name and address
• Drivers licence clearly showing name and address
• For new residents – a solicitor’s letter showing the house purchase completion date within the last 12-month period.
