Project Description: This project involves the design, permitting, and construction of the Citywide Buffer Wall Pine Island Road North and Commercial Blvd. Phase IIC, covering approximately 4,620 linear feet of precast buffer wall, along with landscaping and irrigation upgrades. The buffer wall will be installed at three locations:
1.West side of Pine Island Road (NW 79th St. to NW 81st St.), including additional wall segments along NW 79th (north side)and NW 81st Streets (south side).
2.North side of Commercial Blvd. (NW 58th Way to Rock Island Road).
3.West side of Rock Island Road, extending 730 feet north from Commercial Blvd.
The design includes concrete foundations, columns, precast wall panels, utility relocations, and minor landscaping enhancements.
Status: : The project was approved at the January 22, 2025, commission meeting. A preconstruction meeting was held on February 11, 2025, to initiate the project. The Notice to Proceed (NTP) has been issued, and the design/build team has started the preliminary design phase, working on a formal site plan for the City's review and approval
