Project Description: This in-house design project involves the design, permitting, and construction of improvements to the Sports Complex Park Trail. It includes replacing the existing 8-foot-wide, 3,500-foot-long asphalt walkway/trail with a new concrete path. The project will involve removing the old asphalt, preparing the site, placing concrete, and restoring the area. These improvements aim to enhance the walkway's appearance and integrity, aligning with the City's Strategic Goals #1 "Tamarac is Home" and #4 "Tamarac is Vibrant.“
Status: This project has been through the City’s competitive bidding process and was approved at the September 25, 2024, City Commission meeting. The project is currently awaiting the Florida Department of Environmental Protection’s (FDEP) approval of Task 1 deliverables under the Grant’s Program Specific Requirements before a Notice to Proceed is issued by the grant agency to kick off the project.
