NW 57th Street Utilities Undergrounding Project

NW 57th Street Utilities Undergrounding Project

Estimated Cost: $574,959.84

Estimated Start Date: Fall 2024

Estimated Completion Date: Winter 2025

Project Description: This project involves relocating existing above-ground utilities to underground storm-resistant infrastructure along NW 57th Street from NW 91st Avenue to Pine Island Road. This aims to create a unified and aesthetically pleasing appearance, extending the underground utilities for power, AT&T, and Comcast, consistent with Tamarac Village’s completed improvements from NW 94th Avenue to NW 91st Avenue. The work includes agreements between the City of Tamarac and utility owners (FPL, AT&T, and Comcast) to complete the underground utilities for the Tamarac Village corridor.

Status: A pre-construction meeting between the City, AT&T and Comcast was held on December 11, 2024, to kick off the project. The City is currently awaiting FPL to complete their design process and submit for permit.
