Project Description: This project will install 17,600 feet of new 48-inch water main, connecting the Prospect Lake Clean Water Center to the Fiveash Water Treatment Plant. The project spans Fort Lauderdale’s Twin Lakes North neighborhood and through the cities of Tamarac and Oakland Park, using a mix of open-cut and trenchless methods. Roadways impacted by open-cut construction will also be resurfaced.
Status: Crews are currently working along Prospect Road as part of Phase 8. The eastbound inside lane (closest to the median) is closed for horizontal directional drilling from NW 19th Terrace to NW 15th Ave for the next 2-3 weeks. This includes closures at the intersections of Prospect Road & NW 15th Ave and Prospect Road & NW 17th Ave.
