Project Description: On May 27, 2020, the City Commission approved the Go-Forward Roadway Landscape Master Plan to guide streetscape improvements citywide. Phase 1 of the Gateway Landscape Improvements will target three key locations: Pine Island Road & Commercial Blvd, Rock Island Road & Bailey Road, and University Drive & Southgate Blvd. The project includes upgrading landscapes and irrigation, replacing hardscapes, installing decorative pavers, and enhancing the overall appearance to support Tamarac’s beautification goals.
Status: This project is in the design and permitting phase, which includes site investigations, utility coordination, and approvals from Broward County and FDOT. Staff are currently reviewing the 90% design plan submittals. Once design and permitting are complete, the project will proceed to the City's competitive bidding process. It is tentatively scheduled to go out for bid in Spring 2025.
