One Step Closer to Construction

On Thursday, July 16, Tampa City Council approved a Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) agreement with J. Kokolakis Contracting, Inc. in the amount of $17,413,638.73  for the construction of Tampa Fire Rescue (TFR) Fire Station No. 24.

With the total costs of the project locked in place, the GMP agreement paves the way for the construction of a new 17,500 SF, four-bay fire station in north Tampa. The project sits on a 3.05-acre site located at 4902 E. Whiteway Drive, just south of Greco Park.

Back on February 6, 2025, Tampa City Council awarded Kokolakis a design-build services agreement for the new fire station in the amount of $2,363,603.

Fire Station No. 24 is projected to be in operation by winter 2027.
