Lois Avenue Water Main Replacement Work

The City of Tampa is committed to providing high-quality, reliable water service for drinking, cooking, cleaning, sanitation, irrigation, recreation, business, and fire protection. As part of our ongoing investment in the water distribution system, crews are replacing aging pipelines to strengthen system reliability and better serve our community.

As part of this effort, the Water Engineering Construction Team will replace water mains along South Lois Avenue between West Azeele Street and West Dale Street. This project includes the replacement of more than 800 linear feet of water main that has been in service since the 1940s. The work will also involve transferring existing water services, roadway resurfacing, and maintenance of traffic to ensure safe access through the construction area.

Replacing these aging water mains will improve overall water service reliability by reducing leaks and service interruptions caused by main breaks. The new infrastructure will also increase system capacity and improve water pressure for nearby homes and businesses.

We appreciate your patience and support as we work to enhance water service in your neighborhood.
