MacDill Avenue Improvements
MacDill Avenue is getting a facelift and we want your help. As the City's Mobility Department reimagines what MacDill can be, we're looking for the community's input to add to the design.
The MacDill Avenue Project aims to increase safety along the corridor through lower cost materials and better design. Residents in the area have voiced concerns over speeding, difficulty turning, lack of bike lanes and crosswalks, and the need for improved signal timing. This project aims to address those needs and improve quality of life for residents and businesses along this stretch.
MacDill Avenue from Columbus Drive to Main Street is also considered to be a part of the City's High Injury network, where most of the serious crashes occur. Through our committment to Vision Zero, the City's plan to reduce serious injury crashes and deaths, we can make MacDill Avenue a better road to navigate for all roadway users.
