July 2: Important Update on Construction

The Tampa Water Department is moving forward with construction on the Palma Ceia Water Main Improvements Phase III and anticipates the project will be completed by the end of this year.

In an effort to bring this project to a successful close, the Tampa Water Department is bringing in the Kiewit Infrastructure South Co. to finish the remaining water main installation and roadway restoration. The City has successfully worked with Kiewit in the past. Most recently, Kiewit completed a major water main installation project in four Tampa neighborhoods both on time and under budget.

Water main repair work is already underway. While the City of Tampa has made multiple emergency repairs to Palma Ceia streets, Kiewit will complete permanent repairs and restorations in the upcoming months. A complete schedule will be delivered to residents shortly.
