Washington Street Park Transformation
The Channel District CRA and Tampa Parks and Recreation have hired Dix Hite Partners to foster a community vision and conceptual design of Washington Street Park located at the corner of 12th and Washington streets. The conceptual design will include an estimate of probable cost and be incorportated into a Design Criteria Package. The Design Criteria Package will be used to engage a design-build team as a subsequent project and ensure the community vision is realized through technical design, permitting, and contruction.
The project will be introduced and designed through a robust community engagement process. The project team will provide information to and obtain input from Channel residents, agencies, private groups (residential/business), neighboring communities and governmental entities. The overall goal of this plan is to help ensure that the project reflects the values and needs of the communities it is designed to benefit.
