City starts construction on a new traffic light
East Sligh Avenue & North 30th Street
The City of Tampa is working to install a new traffic signal at the intersection of East Sligh Avenue & North 30th Street. Along with the new traffic signal heads, updated pedestrian signals will be installed at the crosswalks of the intersection. The installation will be complete by the end of summer 2025.
In addition, FTE, Inc. -- the engineering firm assigned to the roadway project, is currently designing the North 30th Street northbound (NB) left turn, and NB thru-right lane at Sligh Avenue. Construction of the turn lane is projected to begin in late-winter 2025 and will continue until winter of 2026.
