Safe Routes To School 2025 - PID 117559

As part of the Safe Routes to School program, the City of Lorain is enhancing pedestrian infrastructure to create safer, more accessible routes for students walking and biking to school. Planned improvements include constructing new sidewalks along the north side of E 39th Street, where none currently exist, and repairing damaged sections between Broadway and Omaha Avenue. Additional sidewalk connections will be built along Clifton Avenue from E 39th Street to Harriet Street, and new sidewalks along E 39th Street will be added at Cityview Park. These upgrades aim to improve safety, encourage active transportation, and support healthier, more connected neighborhoods for Lorain’s youth.
