
Longbrook and Yorktown Roads Rehabilitation
The rehabilitation of Longbrook and Yorktown Roads in 2025.

The City of Lorain undertook the Roadway Rehabilitation of Longbrook Rd. from Kolbe Rd. to the intersection with Yorktown Rd. and Yorktown Rd. from the intersection with Longbrook Rd. to the intersection with Oak Point Rd. The intention of the project was to improve the drainage and replace the asphalt pavement on Longbrook Road, and remove and replace the concrete pavement on Yorktown Rd.
The project was undertaken in four phases:
- Phase One entailed the removal and replacement of the southside lane of Yorktown, with one-way eastbound traffic being maintained in the northside lane.
- Phase Two entailed the removal and replacement of the northside lane of Yorktown, with one-way eastbound traffic being maintained in the southside lanes.
- Phase Three entailed the full closure of Longbrook Rd. from the intersection with Kolbe Rd. to the bridge over Beaver Creek.
- Phase Four included installation of new signage and updated pavement markings.
