Understanding How Washoe County's Budget Works
Washoe County is proud to host its annual Budget 101 Public Workshop, a free public event designed to help residents better understand how county government is funded, how the budget is developed, and where taxpayer dollars are invested throughout the community.

The workshop features a beginner-friendly presentation from county financial leaders and a demonstration of the Washoe Checkbook, an online transparency tool that allows residents to explore county revenues and expenditures in near real time.
