
Project Update: Temporary Overnight Closure (March 10-15) of US-50 for Sycamore Trail Pedestrian Overcrossing Construction
Prepare for a temporary overnight closure of US-50 from March 10-15 as crews work on the Sycamore Trail Pedestrian Overcrossing. Expect rerouted traffic onto I-80, I-5, and West Sacramento surface streets. Detour signs and traffic officers will guide you through the changes.
Sycamore Trail Extension Phase II
A section of US-50 will be temporarily closed overnight for four evenings starting Monday, March 10 to early Friday morning, March 15 for construction of the Sycamore Trail Pedestrian Overcrossing.
Traffic will be rerouted onto Interstate 80 and Interstate 5 and West Sacramento surface streets during this time for removal and stripping of steel falsework bridge deck framing over US-50.
Westbound US-50 will be closed overnight between I-5 and Harbor Blvd. from 11 p.m. Monday, March until Wednesday, March 13 at 3 a.m.
Eastbound US-50 will be closed overnight between I-80 and Jefferson Blvd from 12 a.m. to 4 a.m. Wednesday, March 13 to Friday, March 15.
Detour signs will be posted with traffic officers assisting throughout the time of construction.
