Important Information for Bikers

Construction on the Riverfront St Extension and 5th St Widening has begun. New lane configurations and temporary striping have been installed on 5th St/S River, resulting in narrower travel lanes. The temporary configuration will be in place until approximately Fall 2023. Although there are no bike lanes in this temporary configuration due to the limited space, bikes are still allowed to travel on S River Rd/5th and “share the road” signs have been installed to alert vehicles. Additionally, an alternate bike route has been identified for the northbound and southbound directions.
