Play Street Kick-Off: Northumberland Place

Play Street Kick-Off: Northumberland Place

Following a public consultation and thorough review process, we are excited to announce that works are nearly complete at Northumberland Place, and you are invited to help us bring the new Play Street to life!

Join us on Monday 4 August, from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m., for a special test run filled with fun and inclusive activities led by our fantastic leisure partners, Everyone Active.

This new Play Street has been made possible thanks to the valuable feedback provided by residents. Your input helped guide the design and purpose of this space, making sure it reflects the needs and priorities of the community.

Play Streets are all about connection – helping neighbours of all ages come together to build trust, boost wellbeing, and enjoy active time outdoors in a safe, welcoming environment. Northumberland Place is one of three locations selected for Play Street implementation, following assessments of community interest, previous play activity and local readiness.

Keep an eye on the ActiveWestminster website and socials for updates on when the other two Play Streets, Ashmore Road and Kilravock Street, will be going live.

Thank you once again for your contributions and continued support. We hope Northumberland Place becomes a space you’ll enjoy and return to, whether it’s to get active, socialise or simply connect with your community.

We can’t wait to see you there!
