Cycle Movement Strategy Phase 2: Harrow Road

Cycle Movement Strategy Phase 2: Harrow Road

Following a review of the existing temporary scheme, which was introduced as part of the Covid-19 response, a permanent scheme has been developed. This new scheme formalises the temporary measures while incorporating a number of enhancements aimed at further improving safety for both cyclists and pedestrians.

We completed an informal consultation in May 2024, followed by a Traffic Management Order (TMO) consultation in early 2025. Following Cabinet Member approval, construction was completed in early 2026.

About the project

Email

Due to the size of this scheme, the consultation has been split into three sub sections:

  • Harrow Road Section 1 – From Ladbroke Grove to Elgin Avenue
  • Harrow Road Section 2 – From Elgin Avenue to Lord Hills Bridge
  • Harrow Road Section 3 – From Lord Hills Bridge to Edgware Road

As part of the overarching North Paddington High Streets Programme, the ‘Harrow Road Corridor’ strategy builds on the success of the temporary cycling measures previous installed. If the project secures funding and community buy-in, the 'Harrow Road Corridor' will deliver improvements to the footways, cycleways and carriageways along Harrow Road.
