Wayfinding Signs Project – Physical Activity and Play
Following the completion of the Know Ball Games Pilot Consultation, ActiveWestminster is now working alongside the Housing team to replace the existing ‘no ball games’ signs, where appropriate, with new wayfinding signs. These signs will help direct children, young people and families to designated play and activity spaces where they can safely play, relax, and enjoy their surroundings.
About the project
ActiveWestminster is currently finalising the design of the new signs. The intention is for these signs to guide residents to designated play spaces in the estate using the estate maps. These maps will highlight activity areas within the development, such as Multi Use Games Areas (MUGAs) and outdoor gyms as well as suitable play spaces.
The current locations where signs will be replaced are:
- John Aird Court
- Mozart
- Brunel
- Lydford
- Lisson Green
- Churchill Gardens
- Lillington & Longmore
Once the design, programme plan, and schedule are finalised, we will update registered residents with the next steps and implementation of the signs and as well as offering engagement opportunities to residents post implementation.
