Secure Cycle Storage In Your Area
Your neighbourhood has been identified as an area with high demand for cycle parking hangars. Following a review of the location and engineering constraints, the location presented in the proposed drawings have been shortlisted for the installation of new cycle hangars. Hangars are only installed in areas where there is suitable space and are carefully positioned to avoid any undue effect on other road users.
About the project
As part of the City Council’s ongoing commitment to promote and encourage active travel, and to help achieve carbon neutral city status by 2040, the City Highways team is rolling out the next phase of on-street cycle parking hangars to increase the overall cycle parking stock. This roll-out targets both existing cycles hangar locations that are over-subscribed as well as new locations, which are identified by the way of requests from members of the public, Elected Members, and other key stakeholders from Amenity Societies. This letter is to consult you on the proposal to relocate or install new cycle hangars in your area.
