Register of Active Residents (RoAR)

The Climate Emergency team are pleased to announce the establishment of our new Citizens’ Climate Action Committee (CCAC).

This has been developed in direct response to the Westminster Citizens’ Climate Assembly recommendation 8 (‘Review, adapt and act – We expect the council to reconvene the Citizens’ Climate Assembly annually, regardless of political affiliation and independent of the election cycle, to account for its progress and to re-state goals in light of any shortfall.’).

The CCAC is an opportunity for Citizens’ Climate Assembly members and other interest residents to stay involved with climate discussions and support collective climate action across Westminster.

We would like to invite you to the first meeting of the CCAC, which will take place:

  • 6-8pm on Wednesday 3rd April 2024
  • Westminster City Hall, 64 Victoria Street, London, SW1E 6QP

This first meeting will provide you with an opportunity to hear about the upcoming updated Climate Emergency Action Plan (CEAP) (click on the green text to open the link) and Progress Report, as well as to input into our Climate Risk and Vulnerability Assessment for the city. To read the draft ‘Terms of Reference’ for the CCAC attached (to be agreed at the first meeting) please click here.

Food and refreshments will be provided.

Sign up via this link (https://forms.office.com/e/Lqbj3jJRvQ) by Friday 22nd March if you would like to attend.
