Warwick Way construction updates – 30.05.2025

Phase 1 Warwick Way (between Upper Tachbrook Street and Wilton Road)

Works are complete for Phase 1 with the exception of the installation of setts and chamfered to the loading bay outside Tesco.  A temporary asphalt construction has been installed in this location to mitigate delays to materials. The permanent materials will be installed as soon as the programme allows. Warwick Way has been made one-way westbound between its junctions with Upper Tachbrook Street and Belgrave Road with temporary road markings installed to inform road users.

 Phase 2 Denbigh Street

On the southeast corner, outside Choi, all footway works have been completed. The fencing remains in place to manage pedestrian flow.

On the southwest corner, from the junction through Victoria Cut Barber, new kerb line has been installed. Paving works are ongoing in the newly extended footway area and the new loading bay. The paving around the junction is substantially completed into Warwick Way.

Denbigh Street will be reopened to traffic on Monday 2^nd June.

 Phase 3 Wilton Road

The footway works outside Gees Chemist have been substantially completed. The fencing remains in place to manage pedestrian flow.

Excavation is to be carried out outside Café Nero for new kerb line installation.

 Phase 4 Warwick Way (between Wilton Road and Guildhouse Street)

The section of Warwick Way between Wilton Road and Guildhouse Street will commence imminently.
