You Said, We Did: Stub Roads Greening

Following the engagement exercise, sites put forward was analysed using the EJM framework while prioritising flood risk locations.  Also considered was whether locations were valid stub roads and whether greening measures were potentially feasible.  The frequency of response has not been taken into consideration when prioritising the sites as the purpose of the consultation exercise was to identify possible sites, not to rank them by popularity, which would then be prioritised according to the criteria within the EJM framework.

The following five locations have been identified as appropriate to progress for further assessment, listed in order of priority:

1.      Churton Place

2.      Cleveland Square

3.      Cambridge Street

4.      Craig’s Court

5.      Elms Mews

The trial will prioritise the first two sites only; Churton Place and Cleveland Square will be assessed in first instance and progressed if deemed feasible.

Next steps:

To complete the technical review and carry out further consultation on the design post-election period.
