Proposals
As part of this year’s road safety programme, we have identified the Harrow Road j/w Bourne Terrace junction as a location is need of intervention to reduce both the frequency and severity of ‘personal injury collisions. (PIC’s). WCC is committed to improving road safety, especially for those more vulnerable, and we see your views by 9 October 2025.
Proposals include upgrading the pedestrian crossings, two new loading bays, relocating a bus stop and introducing bus lanes, and improving highway lighting and drainage. The proposal is designed to make the junction safer, focusing on improved pedestrian crossings, increased visibility and provide a deterrence for unsafe loading.
