New Zealand House, 80 Haymarket Public Realm

Public realm improvements outside the new development at 80 Haymarket are being proposed as part of the developer's planning conditions with Westminster City Council.

About the project

The Developer (The Crown Estate) of 80 Haymarket is proposing highway and public realm improvements on Haymarket and Pall Mall, as part of their planning conditions (Ref: 19/07815/FULL) with Westminster City Council. These works will include improvements to both the footway and carriageway.

Westminster City Council are notifying local residents and stakeholders of these proposals and would be pleased to receive any comments, to this informal consultation, you may have.

The current proposals for the highways and public realm improvements and parking changes are indicated on below drawing and include the following:

Pall Mall

  • Conversion of the existing vehicular crossover into footway
  • Reinstatement of existing kerbs
  • Reinstatement of the existing footway material
  • Introduction of loading restrictions
  • Road markings refresh

Haymarket

  • Introduction of a new vehicular crossover
  • Reinstatement of existing kerbs
  • Reinstatement of the existing footway material
  • Relocation of the parking bay
  • Road markings refresh

Stage 3 Detailed Design Review

WCC's service provider is to undertake design review of the stage 3 detailed design which is to be submitted by the developer's consultants, following the TMO & section 6 consultation and incorporating any feedback received and agreed with WCC
