Westminster Community Hubs
Bayswater Children's Centre
Bayswater Children’s Centre is situated in North Westminster and is located at the edge of Bayswater ward. The centre is part of the Community Hubs programme which aims to create more accessible, inclusive and sustainable spaces for local communities. The council has already launched a Stay & Play service (2023) and a housing service (early 2024) on the site, with the commitment of a co-designed community hub to follow. The design aims to contribute to the Westminster City Council’s Fairer Westminster, #2035, EDI and climate emergency ambitions, by providing a range of services and activities that support the wellbeing, learning, participation and empowerment of the residents.
We have recently completed the first stage of our co-design process, where we identified community priorities, shaped plans for the hubs design, what they will offer and how they will be run.
The below photographs show our current design proposal.
